Prayer & friendship
Beginning with the weekly Friday Night Rosary and ordinary hospitality among neighboring households.
THE FRATERNITY · A BOND OF SOLIDARITY

Faithful households need not labor alone. The proposed Fraternity would encourage dependable bonds of prayer, recognition, friendship, formation, and practical assistance.

THE PRINCIPLE
It is not a substitute for the family, the parish, or the authority of the Church. Its purpose is to help people and households accomplish together what they cannot prudently accomplish alone.
Beginning with the weekly Friday Night Rosary and ordinary hospitality among neighboring households.
Strengthening knowledge of the Faith, cultural memory, practical skills, and responsibilities across generations.
Helping the elderly, supporting families in difficulty, sharing useful competencies, and cooperating in works of charity.
The Lay Fraternity of St. Louis and St. Elizabeth is currently described in a revised draft charter (v0.2, 25 September 2026). It is a proposed lay Catholic initiative; the site makes no claim of canonical recognition or ecclesiastical approval.
WHO MAY BE INTERESTED
A local circle may emerge where families already live. Friday prayer, a shared lesson, help for a neighbor, or an ordinary meal may be enough to begin building lasting bonds.
The draft proposes two patronal circles—the St. Louis Men’s Circle and the St. Elizabeth Women’s Circle—with common prayer, household-centered activities, and works of mercy. Specific membership and governance provisions remain subject to review.
Participation in a Friday Night Rosary does not require Fraternity membership, relocation, or a financial commitment.
